Kudo® Image BrowserTM is a mixed-media cataloging, browsing and retrieval tool for use with collections of graphics, scanned photographs, clip art, QuickTime movies and Kodak Photo CD images. Visual applications such as Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Aldus PageMaker and others are enhanced by the functionality of Image Browser. With Kudo Image Browser, you can quickly create and browse through catalogs of thumbnails -- each representing an original image stored on or off-line. Don't worry about where the original files are stored, their format or what application created them. After Image Browser helps you locate your image, you have options to copy, preview, place or open the file with another application.
Image Browser is aware of the human eye's ability to perceive unrelated images at approximately 10 frames per second (fps). Use the exclusive Riffle button for fast forward or backward searches without eye fatigue. You set the speed to view up to 1000 images in under two minutes. -- much more efficient than opening image files one-by-one.
Drag and Place, another Kudo Image Browser exclusive, eliminates the chore of finding the right image using cryptic file names and retyping the file name into a "Get Picture" or "Place" dialog box. Just select a thumbnail and drag it to an open QuarkXPress or PageMaker document. Release the mouse and you've placed a graphic file into your document. It's that easy!
Entire collections of off-line graphics, clip art and Photo CD images can be referenced by a single Kudo catalog. If you select an image that is stored off-line, the software prompts you for the correct volume. This feature frees up precious hard disk space and helps you organize graphic collections.
